Did you accidentally use your Golden Key from your pre-order because you thought that the golden chest was just another one in Sanctuary? If you did and you wish you had another key to keep, just follow these steps.
1. Go to the Borderlands 2 main menu and click on the "extras" tab.
2. Click on Shift Code
3. Fill out all the information and confirm your e-mail.
4. Wait until you launch Borderlands again and a message should come up.
5. Be careful this time and enjoy your Golden Key
