I played the crap out of this game when I had the opportunity back when I was a kid, and I'm so happy I did. When I found out that they were releasing the game with better graphics I had to get it, and even though I couldn't get it on day 1, the first opportunity I had to get the game, I bought it and it was much much worth it.
Graphics: 9.5
A MAJOR upgrade from the original. Everything looks nice, from the environment, to the skater itself. Sometimes it takes a while for the graphics to load up (happened to me once or twice), and you end up skating in a world of textureless things, but then the game fixes everything up and you become happy once again.
Sound: 9
The sound is great in the game, and it feels like the original Tony Hawk effects (maybe it is who knows) whenever you break through glass in the "Mall" level or knocking down the crates in "Warehouse". The best part in terms of sound in this game is the MUSIC. Brings back so many good memories. The best song ever in a Tony Hawk game (Superman - Goldfinger) is back and I love playing a level and hearing the song. I just wish retrying a level would change the song so I can keep playing with Superman blasting in the background. Other than that the other songs are catchy as well and it truly is fun to play along to these songs.
Gameplay: 9
The gameplay is very smooth and you can have endless hours of fun just going around playing the various game modes. Career mode has you going around completing goals. "Big Head Mode" has you doing tricks so that you're head does not explode, and hawkman requires you to collect pellets in different ways in a certain time limit. There is online play but no splitscreen, which kinda sucks. Another thing that sucks is not many levels. They will be adding 3 levels from THPS3 later on for $5, but it still is not a big enough game.
Overall: 9.25
A great game for any skateboarding, ongboarding, scootering, etc fan. I suggest it especially to anyone who had fun playing the first 2 games. A must have and for only $15, it is worth it.
