The Collection 4 Final Assault DLC came out on September 6, 2012 and it featured 3 new maps: Gulch, Boardwalk, and Parish. All 3 are relatively small maps and I would recommend an SMG or a Shotgun for most.
BOARDWALK:
This is the most tightly packed map of them all and features a lot of close quarters combat. For this map the shotgun and the SMG are probably the best to use, but you can use an assault rifle, although it won't help a lot whenever you are in one of the close quarter situations.
The brightest and most colorful map from them all, the different arcade and carnival games spread out throughout the map, it is fun just running around looking at all the different games there are.
No real camping spots if you are a player who like to stay in one spot because the other team will easily find you and get you.
This is my favorite map from the 3.
GULCH:
Another small map based in a desert environment that makes you feel like you are playing Red Dead Redemption with all it's western props. For this map I recommend SMGs and assault rifles mainly because there is some face-to-face action but most of the time you will be shooting your enemies from mid-range.
One negative about this map is that it is pretty hard to distinguish your enemies from the scenery. Although I personally don't have THAT much of a hard time I do ocasionally miss an enemy because the bushes along with the color of the rocks blend with his clothing.
No camping spots in this map either, you will be found and killed most of the time. There are sniping vantage points but not very good ones since everyone knows where they are.
My least favorite of the 3.
PARISH:
Might be the smallest map in the entire game (nothing beats shipment though), and the spawns can mess you up a lot of the time. Playing TDM and kill confirmed, I realized how bad the spawns are in this map and you will end up getting some pretty ugly deaths.
That is basically the negative for this map, the spawns, which will ruin the experience for you.
I don't mind the map, but I like it more than Gulch since I get better scores.
Shipment is still the greatest map in call of duty history though and nothing will ever beat it in terms of size and fun.
I got the maps because I had COD Elite, but for those of you who don't I don't recommend it as much if you are going to be getting Black Ops II, but if you are going to be playing MW3 for the next few months alot, I would get it because they are fun to play on.
